Organisational Maturity at Infes: How Two UNLOCK Tools Support Strategic Decision-Making

Share

Renata Gailiūnienė, Head of HR at Infes – a leading construction company – sees employee engagement and performance not just as things to “measure,” but as essential parts of building a strong, forward-looking organization.
Before joining Infes, Renata had worked with other employee engagement providers, giving her a clear perspective on what actually works in practice.

A employee engagement survey that leads to action

Renata chose UNLOCK Employee Experience with a clear goal: to turn engagement measurement from a one-off annual event into a consistent management tool.

With UNLOCK Employee Experience, Infes was able to:

  • launch surveys independently, without external support;
  • track completion rates in real time and respond proactively;
  • send automated reminders through the system;
  • use pre-set question groups or build custom ones based on what’s relevant.

The first engagement survey conducted through UNLOCK Employee Experience reached an impressive 82% participation rate – while Renata’s past projects with other providers typically saw around 70%.
Even more importantly, the results became a launchpad for internal actions: team collaboration was identified as an area for improvement, and the company has now made it one of its strategic focus points.

We’ve set a clear strategic goal – to improve engagement and one of the areas we identified – collaboration. We’re already planning dedicated initiatives and actions for this.” – says Renata.

Freedom to measure what matters and when it matters

One of the key advantages of UNLOCK Employee Experience is flexibility – the ability to run focused check-ins more often, based on what the organization wants to develop.

Infes now plans to carry out shorter, targeted surveys focused on specific areas, such as collaboration or engagement within particular departments.

With this tool, they can:

  • avoid repeating full-scale surveys and select only the needed question blocks;
  • target specific employee groups (e.g. those involved in a certain process);
  • act independently – and immediately.

This makes it easy to monitor change and evaluate whether the steps taken are having real impact.

From Excel to efficiency: digitizing performance appraisal and management

Infes also implemented UNLOCK Performance, bringing similar clarity and structure to performance reviews.

Previously, the process relied on Excel templates, sent via email and updated manually – a time-consuming and error-prone task.

The numbers speak for themselves – here’s what the process looked like before:

  • Infes includes around 170 employees in their performance evaluation process.
  • Preparing and processing one Excel form takes about 10 minutes.
  • That’s 28 hours just for form handling (170 x 10 min).
  • Add around 3 hours to track completions and compile results.

That’s 31+ hours of manual work – now eliminated thanks to UNLOCK Performance. In addition to saving time, Renata highlights several other benefits:

  • Managers can access past agreements with employees at any time;
  • HR can follow progress in real time, send reminders, and generate automated reports;
  • Reports show both individual progress and trends across teams.

The biggest benefit is that anyone can log in at any time and see what has been agreed. No more digging for where that annual review form went.” – says Renata.

Infes now plans to use Performance assessment not just once a year as annual employee performance review but at least quarterly, adapting the process to fit different teams, roles, and evaluation formats.

The combination of UNLOCK Employee Experience and UNLOCK Performance helps the organization save time and resources, make data-driven decisions, ensure continuous improvement, and empower both managers and the HR team.

With these tools, Infes is not only optimizing processes – it is also cultivating a culture where employee voice, goal alignment, and reflection are embedded in everyday management.
